Brooklyn Nets Unveil New BKLYN Statement Uniform

“Brooklyn isn’t just a place. It’s an identity.”

The Brooklyn Nets unveiled their new Statement Edition uniforms this afternoon on Twitter, showing an almost graffiti-like abbreviated team name across the chest of a silver jersey.

Designed in collaboration with Brooklyn-based artist Eric Haze, the uniform features two black stripes down either side of the jersey with three stars on each side displayed in that same graffiti-style as seen on the BKLYN wordmark.

Despite the use of the unique style on both the logo and the stars on the sides, the player’s number is in a very basic, plain, nothing-at-all special font. It sticks out, and ruins what could’ve been a great overall look.

Shorts are silver with a black stripe at the bottom and the team’s secondary logo on the pant leg.

The Nets will wear this uniform 21 times during the 2019-20 season, thirteen of which will be at home, it replaces a similarly-styled silver “BKLYN” uniform which was worn last season without the graffiti wordmark.
