The Dallas Stars teased their 2020 Winter Classic jersey last night, just a few hours after their opponent for the game – the Nashville Predators – unveiled theirs.
What we see in the teaser video, posted to their social media accounts, is a closeup of a patch, a logo we hadn’t seen before featuring a white D on a silver state map of Texas outlined in green. This patch is seen on a green jersey with a white horizontal stripe and it appears to be placed on the sleeve of the new jersey.
Off to the far right of the teaser, we see a glimpse of white with a small amount of green within it. My thought is this shows the jersey will be green white a white horizontal stripe across the chest and the Stars’ previously revealed 2020 Winter Classic logo, in green, and inside that stripe. The Predators will also have a horizontal stripe on their uniform for this outdoor game, to be played New Year’s Day at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
The new Dallas Stars 2020 Winter Classic uniform will be unveiled officially and fully on November 6, the logo we saw last month showed the team is clearly going with a tribute to the old Dallas Texans minor league hockey team, matching the Predators homage to the 1960s Nashville Dixie Flyers.
