As part of a celebration of the school’s 250th anniversary, the College of Charleston men’s basketball program will wear throwback uniforms against Elon on Feb. 8 (4 p.m. on FloSports).
The Under Armour uniforms are reminiscent of what the program wore during the 1960s, when the Cougars — then known as the Maroons — won the Dixie Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament. The white jerseys prominently display a large “C of C” wordmark across the chest, while the contrasting maroon shorts feature the same lettering alongside two white stripes.
In addition to the throwback uniforms, the College of Charleston will wear special shooting shirts before the game. The design is centered around the clock that sits at the corner of College and Green ways on campus.
