The Northwest Arkansas Naturals, Double-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, unveiled a new logo that pays homage to their home state and their parent club. The new mark features an outline of the state of Arkansas, “the Natural State,” capped by a Royals-esque crown. In the northwest corner of the state, a gold star marks the team’s home in the town of Springdale.
The Naturals have been a Royals affiliate since the team moved to Arkansas from Wichita before the 2008 season. The new cap will be worn during batting practice.
