What do the Missoula PaddleHeads have up their sleeve(s)? The team has no idea when (or, God forbid, if) its first game will be played, but that’s not stopping them from teasing the unveiling of uniforms on social media today.
The team posted a darkened photo of a player (safely sequestered at his locker six feet from other humans) wearing the new duds, with only the legend “4.10.20” and a ghosted antler logo visible to the casual viewer.
Intrepid Photoshop detective and SportsLogos.net founder Chris Creamer adjusted the photo’s levels to reveal some detail, but the full announcement will be made a week from today, Friday, April 10. The adjusted image shows what is likely a dark green jersey and cap with orange or brown logos and script.
The PaddleHeads played two decades as the Missoula Osprey before rebranding this offseason. With the 2020 season in question due to the COVID-19 crisis and the PaddleHeads appearing on the list of teams Major League Baseball supposedly has targeted for de-affiliation after this year, we can only hope to see the new look on the field some day.
