Athletes Honour Frontline Health Workers With Their Jerseys

For National Nurses Day today athletes all over North America, such as the two 99’s in the photo above, are teaming up to honour frontline healthcare workers giving all they can to help us during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Players are each choosing a healthcare hero who has inspired them and putting their name over their own on the back of their uniform shirt and posting them to social media using the hashtag #TheRealHeroes.

Here’s a look at a small sampling of what’s been posted in the last twenty-four hours:

Of course, we wanted to show our support too, so here I am with my SportsLogos.Net baseball jersey featuring the name of a good friend Nadine Tiwari. Nadine is right in this fight as a respiratory therapist at a hospital in Ontario, Canada. I can’t thank her enough for all she’s doing for us here.

And SportsLogos.Net‘s NCAA and NFL logo reporter Andrew Lind wanted to honour all of those at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center:

You can check out the full collection of posts honouring our frontline heroes with the hashtag #TheRealHeroes on Twitter here. If you know anyone on the front line, I encourage you to join in, share your jersey in the comments below or on Twitter.

A big thank you to all our frontline healthcare workers!
