ESPN Events announced on Tuesday that SRS Distribution, one of the largest and fastest growing building products distributors in country, will be the new titles sponsor of the Las Vegas Bowl.
“We are truly excited to welcome SRS Distribution to the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World,” Las Vegas Bowl executive director John Saccenti said in a statement. “This creates an exciting relationship just as our game reaches new heights in its 30th year by moving into a new, state-of-the-art stadium and kicking off our matchup with three top conference brands that span across the nation.”
This marks the ninth different sponsor in the history of the Las Vegas Bowl, which is one of 18 bowl games owned and operated by ESPN. Previous sponsors include the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (1998, 2000, 2003), EA Sports (1999), Sega/Sega Sports (2001-02), Pioneer (2004-08), Maaco (2009-12), Royal Purple (2013-15), GEICO (2016) and Mitsubishi (2018-19).
The Las Vegas Bowl was originally held at Sam Boyd Stadium, the former home of UNLV football, but will make its debut at Allegiant Stadium this December after last year’s game was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. It will feature a matchup between the Big Ten and Pac-12 as part of a new tie-in cycle that also includes the SEC.
“We look forward to doing our part to make sure the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl is an over-the-top event for the fans, the city and the annual representative schools from these three great conferences,” SRS Distribution president and CEO Dan Ticker said.
