Two Québécois teams in baseball’s independent Frontier League will join forces and play exclusively as a road team to begin the 2021 season. Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, the Capitales de Québec and les Aigles de Trois-Rivières will merge to form Équipe Québec and play road games in the United States until they are able to play home games in Canada.

The teams today unveiled branding for the unified Équipe Québec, including a primary logo, a cap logo, a jersey, and a cap. The jersey features the team name in a traditional script paired with a fleur-de-lis, with logos for the cities of Québec and Trois-Rivières on the sleeves. The cap features a stylized ÉQ, making it a rare cap logo to include a diacritical mark.

The Capitales and Aigles hope to return to Canada for games by July 23.
