With the German Bundesliga nearing the end of its season, information is starting to leak out online about the jerseys some clubs will be wearing during the 2021-22 season. Here’s a look at what we know so far:
Borussia Dortmund (Home)
Soccer jersey blog FootyHeadlines is reporting from multiple sources that the above will be the home jersey for Borussia Dortmund in 2021-22.
The jersey, manufactured by Puma, features Dortmund’s familiar “Cyber Yellow” base with diagonal black stripes on the sleeves and a solid black block on the shoulders. The word “DORTMUND” appears on the back in what appears to be the same font Puma is using on club kits this season. FootyHeadlines reports that the shorts will be black and the socks yellow, though the exact designs are not yet known.
Dortmund’s “cup kit” was leaked last week along with other Puma change kits that will reportedly feature an unconventional template. That jersey will also reportedly be a neon yellow reminiscent of shirts the team wore in the mid-1990s.
Bayern Munich (Away)
FootyHeadlines is also reporting that Bayern Munich – who, as of publication, sit seven points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table – will sport a mostly black away jersey in 2021-22.
The front of the jersey will feature a grey design in the bottom left corner and metallic gold printing for names, numbers, sponsor logos and the crest. The club has a jersey deal with adidas.
The back collar features the coat of arms of the city of Munich, also in metallic gold.
Another leak last week reportedly showed the 2021-22 home jersey for Bayern, featuring two shades of red and inspired by “superheroes.”
FC Union Berlin (Home)
Meanwhile, FootyHeadlines believes the 2021-22 jerseys for FC Union Berlin will be simple, straightforward and classy.
The blog is reporting that Berlin’s home jerseys next year, also manufactured by adidas, will be mainly red, with white pinstripes, collars and cuffs. The collar will also have red piping.
