The Triple-A Gwinnett Stripers will pay tribute to individuals in their community who worked (and are working) on the frontlines during the pandemic. The team will wear specialty jerseys with pin stripes that feature the names of frontline workers.
Per the team on Twitter, “Each pinstripe consists of submitted names of frontline workers who kept us going during the pandemic.”
Salute to Frontline Workers Night will take place Friday, May 28, with jerseys to be auctioned off after the game. Proceeds will benefit the team’s partner for the promotional evening, Northside Gwinnett Foundation, which supports Northside Hospital, a network of hospitals in the Atlanta area.
