Tottenham Hotspur Go Back to Basics for 2021-22 Home Kit

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are going back to basics for their 2021-22 home kit, manufactured by Nike.

Spurs are celebrating 100 years of wearing a cockerel crest in 2021, and as such are going with a very basic jersey, like those that would have been worn in 1921.

The shirt is plain white and features very few adornments. The Nike logo and current club crest appear in navy blue, while the collar and sleeve cuffs are white. The original cockerel crest — first worn in the 1921 FA Cup final against Wolverhampton Wanderers — is printed inside the collar.

The logo of the club’s sponsor, AIA, appears in red on the front of the jersey.

The shorts and socks for this kit are both navy blue, again with few adornments.

Both player-issue and replica kits are made with polyester fabric made from 100% recycled plastic bottles.

The club is offering fans the chance to buy the kit with special “SPURS 100” printing, where the letters and numbers feature the original cockerel crest.

Spurs had intended to wear these kits in their last home game of the 2020-21 Premier League season against Aston Villa on May 15. However, that game was moved to May 19 and those plans were scrapped, with Spurs instead wearing their 2020-21 home jersey.
