Celtic FC are hoping to be the envy of the rest of the Scottish Premiership next season after unveiling their new away kit, made by adidas.
The kit was released on Thursday, June 3, and features gold accents on a dark green base. The four-leaf clover from the Glasgow-based club’s crest has been isolated and placed on the chest in gold, and is surrounded by Celtic knotwork embroidered in green.
The adidas logo, sponsor logos, and adidas shoulder stripes are all gold. The crew neck collar and sleeve cuffs are solid green. Celtic’s online shop also sells the kit without sponsor logos.
“The dark green jersey features eye-catching gold detailing, with a striking embroidered four-leaf clover on the chest, complete with matching green shorts and socks featuring the iconic three-stripes to finish the look,” the club’s website reads.
The shorts and socks that go with the kit are both dark green with gold accents.
Over the past few years, Celtic’s away kit has not differed much from their traditional home look of green and white hoops. There was green tartan in 2014-15; green with white pinstripes in 2015-16; tonal green hoops in 2017-18; white with green trim in 2018-19; and light green in 2020-21.
However, the club usually has a third kit that offers more variation, like this bright pink number from 2016-17.
