When they take the field against a squad of Major League Soccer all-stars in late August, players from Liga MX will be channeling the spirit of Aztec warriors through their jerseys.
Liga MX — Mexico’s top flight soccer league — unveiled the jerseys on Sunday, July 18, along with its roster for the All-Star Game showdown on Aug. 25 at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles.
Made by Mexican sportswear company Charly, the jerseys are predominantly white, with a large grey graphic of an Aztec warrior on the left side.
The Liga MX logo appears in full colour on the left chest, while sponsor and manufacturer logos appear in black. An Aztec pattern runs down each side of the jersey, with red and green shades from the Liga MX logo overlaid.
MLS unveiled its All-Star Game jerseys in early July. They’re made by adidas and predominantly black with reflective trim and art deco-inspired patterns.
