The newest entry into the National Women’s Soccer League now has uniforms to go along with its name and crest.
Angel City FC — based in Los Angeles and backed by a slew of celebrity investors — unveiled their uniforms for their inaugural season in 2022 on their website on Thursday, Nov. 17.
The jerseys are predominantly black, with an art deco-inspired “geometric sunrise pattern” on the front in ACFC’s signature “Sol Rosa” shade of light pink. The zigzag outline of the pattern also mimics the city flag of Los Angeles.
The crest — which was unveiled in June 2021 — and sponsor logos also appear in light pink, as will the names and numbers on the back of the kit.
The club’s mantra of “VOLEMOS” (“Let’s fly”) is printed on the back collar “as a reminder to always keep flying to greater heights, together.”
Angel City jerseys will not be available for sale to the general public until early 2022 due to global supply chain challenges. You can sign up for updates on availability through the club’s website.
Angel City FC will begin playing in the NWSL in spring 2022. They will play their home games at Banc of California Stadium, which they’ll share with Major League Soccer’s Los Angeles Football Club.
