The most wonderful time of the year is upon us once again, as the college football bowl season kicks off on Friday morning and runs through the second Monday in January.
With that said, SportsLogos.net has compiled a list of every uniform and bowl patch that has been unveiled thus far. We’ll continue to update this list as teams reveal their uniform combinations in the days and weeks leading up to their respective games.
Hometown Lenders Bahamas Bowl
Miami (Ohio) vs. UAB – Dec. 16, 11:30 a.m. on ESPN
The RedHawks will wear a pirate flag decal on their white helmets in honor of Mississippi State head coach Mike Leach, who passed away on Dec. 12, as well as white jerseys with red pants. The Blazers, meanwhile, will be in gold helmets with green jerseys and pants.
Neither team will wear a bowl patch for the second year in a row and will instead put the national flag of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas on the back of their helmets to mark the occasion.
Duluth Trading Cure Bowl
Troy vs. UTSA – Dec. 16, 3 p.m. on ESPN
The Trojans will wear black helmets, red jerseys and black pants against the Roadrunners, who will don blue helmets, white jerseys and blue pants in Orlando.
Wasabi Fenway Bowl
Cincinnati vs. Louisville – Dec. 17, 11 a.m. on ESPN
The Bearcats will wear black helmets, white jerseys and black pants against the Cardinals, who will be in white helmets, red jerseys and white pants on Saturday.
Cricket Celebration Bowl
Jackson State vs. North Carolina Central – Dec. 17, 12 p.m. on ABC
The Eagles will wear maroon helmets, maroon jerseys and white pants against the Tigers, who will be in all-white uniforms on Saturday afternoon.
SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl
Florida vs. Oregon State – Dec. 17, 2:30 p.m. on ESPN
The Gators will wear orange helmets, blue jerseys and blue pants against the Beavers, who will don all-black uniforms, giving us our first color-vs-color matchup of bowl season.
Florida will also be joined by the other SEC schools participating in bowl season in wearing a “MIKE” helmet decal in honor of Leach, complete with a cowbell as a nod to his time at Mississippi State.
Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl Presented by Stifel
Fresno State vs. Washington State – Dec. 17, 3:30 p.m. on ABC
The Bulldogs will be wearing red jerseys as the designated home team, while the Cougars will be in white jerseys with white helmets, which feature an “ML” decal in honor of Leach, who coached in Pullman from 2012-19.
LendingTree Bowl
Rice vs. Southern Miss – Dec. 17, 5:45 p.m. on ESPN
The Owls will wear gray jerseys against the Golden Eagles, who will be in all-black uniforms.
New Mexico Bowl
BYU vs. SMU – Dec. 17, 7:30 p.m. on ABC
The Cougars will wear their black alternate uniforms with their blue-to-black gradient helmets against the Mustangs in all-white uniforms.
BYU will swap the Stretch “Y” logo, which appeared on the sides of this helmet in the loss to Notre Dame on Oct. 8, with the Sailor Cougar logo and also wear a pirate flag decal in honor of Leach, who played rugby for the Cougars from 1979-83
Frisco Bowl
Boise State vs. North Texas – Dec. 17, 9:15 p.m. on ESPN
The Broncos will be in a new uniform combination for the Frisco Bowl, including blue helmets, black jerseys and blue pants, while the Mean Green will don black helmets, white jerseys and white pants.
Myrtle Beach Bowl
Marshall vs. UConn – Dec. 19, 2:30 p.m. on ESPN
The Thundering Herd will wear black helmets, white jerseys and white pants on the teal turf against the Huskies, who will be in blue helmets, blue jerseys and white pants.
Famous Idaho Potato Bowl
Eastern Michigan vs. San Jose State – Dec. 20, 3:30 p.m. on ESPN
With the help of a company called Game Day Skinz, the Spartans will wear a new gold helmet featuring the San Jose area code along with their blue jerseys and gold pants against the Eagles, who will be in gray helmets, white jerseys and gray pants.
RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl
Liberty vs. Toledo – Dec. 20, 7:30 p.m. on ESPN
The Flames will be in all-red uniforms on Tuesday evening against the Rockets, who will be in all-blue in another game that doesn’t use bowl patches.
R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl
Western Kentucky vs. South Alabama – Dec. 21, 9 p.m. on ESPN
The Hilltoppers will wear matte black helmets, white jerseys and red pants against the Jaguars, who will be in new white helmets – which feature a fleur-de-lis pattern in the center stripe – red jerseys and blue pants.
Both teams will honor Leach, with Western Kentucky donning the same decal as the SEC schools, while South Alabama has a pirate flag with his initials.
Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl
Air Force vs. Baylor – Dec. 22, 7:30 p.m. on ESPN
The Falcons will wear their home blue jerseys with white helmets and white pants against the Bears, who will be in green helmets with an American flag decal “BU” decal, white jerseys and green pants.
Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl
Houston vs. Louisiana – Dec. 23, 3 p.m. on ESPN
The Cougars will be wearing white helmets, red jerseys and white pants against the Ragin’ Cajuns, who will wear red helmets, white jerseys and red pants for a true intrasquad scrimmage feel.
Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl
Missouri vs. Wake Forest – Dec. 23, 6:30 p.m. on ESPN
The Tigers will wear gold helmets with a Block “M” on the sides and a Leach decal on the back, while the Demon Deacons will don black helmets, white jerseys and black pants.
EasyPost Hawai’i Bowl
Middle Tennessee State vs. San Diego State – Dec. 24, 8 p.m. on ESPN
The Raiders will be in white helmet and jerseys as the road team against the Aztecs in their red Aztec calendar helmets and black home jerseys.
Quick Lane Bowl
Bowling Green vs. New Mexico State – Dec. 26, 2:30 p.m. on ESPN
The Falcons will be in orange helmets, brown jerseys and orange pants against the Aggies, who will wear crimson helmets, white jerseys and crimson pants.
Bowling Green has also added two helmet decals for the game, including one for Leach and another for former Michigan high school standout Dametrius “Meechie” Walker, the high school teammate of defensive linemen Billie Roberts and Jordan Porter, who passed away this month after a two-year battle with osteosarcoma.
Camellia Bowl
Buffalo vs. Georgia Southern – Dec. 27, 12 p.m. on ESPN
The Bulls will wear black helmets, black jerseys and blue pants against the Eagles, who will be in blue helmets, white jerseys and blue pants.
SERVPRO First Responders Bowl
Memphis vs. Utah State – Dec. 27, 3:15 p.m. on ESPN
The Tigers will don all-gray uniforms, while the Aggies will wear all-blue uniforms.
TicketSmarter Birmingham Bowl
Coastal Carolina vs. East Carolina – Dec. 27, 6:45 p.m. on ESPN
The Chanticleers will wear black helmets, white jerseys and black pants against the Pirates, who will be in white helmets, purple jerseys and white pants.
Guaranteed Rate Bowl
Oklahoma State vs. Wisconsin – Dec. 27, 10:15 p.m. on ESPN
The Cowboys will wear black helmets, orange jerseys and black pants as the designated home team, while the Badgers will be in white helmets, white jerseys and cardinal pants.
Military Bowl Presented by Peraton
Duke vs. UCF – Dec. 28, 2 p.m. on ESPN
The Blue Devils will wear white helmets, blue jerseys and white pants against the Knights, who will don black helmets, white jerseys and black pants in the nation’s capital.
AutoZone Liberty Bowl
Arkansas vs. Kansas – Dec. 28, 5:30 p.m. on ESPN
The Razorbacks will be in cardinal helmets, white jerseys and white pants against the Jayhawks, who will be wearing white helmets, blue jerseys and blue pants.
San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl
North Carolina vs. Oregon – Dec. 28, 8 p.m. on FOX
The Tar Heels will be in their 1990s throwback uniforms for the third straight bowl game (0-2), while the Ducks will be in all-white uniforms, which include a white facemask for the first time.
TaxAct Texas Bowl
Ole Miss vs. Texas Tech – Dec. 28, 9 p.m. on ESPN
In another color-vs-color matchup, the Red Raiders will be in black helmets, red jerseys and red pants against the Rebels, who will don powder blue helmets, powder blue jerseys and white pants.
Texas Tech has also added a pirate flag decal to their black helmets in honor of Leach, who was their head coach from 2000-09.
Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl
Minnesota vs. Syracuse – Dec. 29, 2 p.m. on ESPN
The Golden Gophers will wear all-maroon uniforms, complete with a new helmet design featuring Goldy on one side and the Block “M” on the other, while the Orange will be in orange helmets, white jersey and orange pants.
Cheez-It Bowl
Florida State vs. Oklahoma – Dec. 29, 5:30 p.m. on ESPN
The Seminoles will wear their standard home uniform with gold helmets, garnet jerseys and gold pants against the Sooners, who will be in their standard road uniform of crimson helmets, white jerseys and white pants.
Valero Alamo Bowl
Texas vs. Washington – Dec. 29, 9 p.m. on ESPN
The Longhorns will wear their all-white road uniforms against the Huskies, who will don chrome gold helmets, purple jersey and purple pants in the Alamodome.
Duke’s Mayo Bowl
Maryland vs. N.C. State – Dec. 30, 12 p.m. on ESPN
The Terrapins will don their state flag helmets with white jerseys and white pants for matchup with former ACC foe Wolfpack, who will be in red helmets, black jerseys and black pants.
Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl
Pittsburgh vs. UCLA – Dec. 30, 2 p.m. on CBS
The Bruins will wear their standard home uniforms with gold helmets, light blue jerseys and gold pants against the Panthers, who will wear their white road jerseys with (a different shade of) gold helmets and pants.
TaxSlayer Gator Bowl
Notre Dame vs. South Carolina – Dec. 30, 3:30 p.m. on ESPN
The Fighting Irish will don their standard road uniform of gold helmets, white jerseys and gold pants against the Gamecocks, who will don black helmets, garnet jerseys and garnet pants.
Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl
Ohio vs. Wyoming – Dec. 30, 4:30 p.m. on BarstoolSports.com
The Cowboys will wear gold jerseys with white helmets and pants against the Bobcats, who will be in green helmets, green jerseys and white pants.
Ohio has also added a decal with Leach’s likeness to the back of its green helmets, which feature a white facemask for the first time since 1990.
Capital One Orange Bowl
Clemson vs. Tennessee – Dec. 30, 8 p.m. on ESPN
The Tigers will wear orange helmets, white jerseys and orange pants against the Volunteers, who will wear white helmets, orange jerseys and white pants, a fitting matchup in the Orange Bowl.
TransPerfect Music City Bowl
Iowa vs. Kentucky – Dec. 31, 12 p.m. on ABC
The Hawkeyes will be wearing their standard road uniform of black helmets, white jerseys and gold pants against the Wildcats in all-blue.
Allstate Sugar Bowl
Alabama vs. Kansas State – Dec. 31, 12 p.m. on ESPN
The Crimson Tide will be in crimson helmets, crimson jerseys and white pants as the home team against the Wildcats, who will be wearing silver helmets, white jerseys and silver pants.
CFP Semifinal at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl
Michigan vs. TCU – Dec. 31, 4 p.m. on ESPN
The Horned Frogs will wear all-white uniforms that feature Nike’s Diamond Quest Swoosh, while the Wolverines will be in their home uniforms with maize pants.
CFP Semifinal at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl
Georgia vs. Ohio State – Dec. 31, 8 p.m. on ESPN
The Bulldogs will wear their standard home uniforms against the Buckeyes, who will be in the road version of their 2002 throwback uniforms. Both have notably been upgraded to Nike’s Vapor Fusion template.
ReliaQuest Bowl
Illinois vs. Mississippi State – Jan. 2, 12 p.m. on ESPN
Mississippi State will honor Leach by wearing a decal featuring his initials inside of a pirate flag on the left side of their maroon helmets, which will be paired with maroon jerseys and white pants, against the Illini, who will don orange helmets with a Leach decal, white jerseys and white pants.
Cheez-It Citrus Bowl
LSU vs. Purdue – Jan. 2, 1 p.m. on ABC
LSU will wear its standard home and road uniform of gold helmets, white jerseys and gold pants, while the Boilermakers will wear a different shade of gold helmets, black jerseys and gold pants.
Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic
Tulane vs. USC – Jan. 2, 1 p.m. on ESPN
The Green Wave will wear green helmets, white jerseys and green pants against the Trojans, who will be in their standard home uniforms of cardinal helmets, cardinal jerseys and gold pants.
Rose Bowl Game
Penn State vs. Utah – Jan. 2, 5 p.m. on ESPN
The Nittany Lions will wear all-white uniforms for the Rose Bowl, which updated its patch for the final traditional Big Ten/Pac-12 matchup, while the Utes will wear the home version of last year’s Rose Bowl uniform, albeit with a red helmet instead.
CFP National Championship Presented by AT&T
Georgia vs. TCU – Jan. 9, 7:30 p.m. on ESPN
The Bulldogs will be in their standard home uniforms as the higher-ranked team, while the Horned Frogs will don black helmets, white jerseys and black pants. Georgia is 0-1 in this combination in the title game, while the team wearing white is 6-2.
