The Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams will play the first NFL game on Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday evening, and the former will mark the occasion with a special helmet decal.
The black circle features King’s initials and will be placed on the left rear of the helmet, next to the league’s emblem.
The Cardinals will also wear two different phrases on their rear helmet bumpers inspired by the late civil rights leader, who would have turned 93 on Saturday, including “Be Love” and “End Hate.”
Kickoff of Monday night’s game – a playoff first – is set for 8:15 p.m. ET at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. It will be broadcast on ABC and ESPN, as well as a special simulcast on ESPN2.
