One of the two 2022 NBA All-Star Game jerseys leaked late last night courtesy of a Tweet from Matthew Moreno of LakersNation.com.
Moreno says in his Tweet that he spotted the jersey for sale at a local store; SportsLogos.Net can confirm that the jersey Matthew saw hanging on that rack is indeed a legit 2022 NBA All-Star Game jersey.
Not entirely sure what happened here, but this grey jersey with light blue trim is undoubtedly not one would have expected for:
a) an All-Star Game held in Cleveland, where the team’s colour scheme is wine, gold, and navy blue
b) an All-Star Game held during the league’s 75th anniversary season
There appears to be no historic or throwback element involved, nor any reference to the host city whatsoever. Perhaps they’re still hurting after being stuck with Indiana Pacers-themed uniforms last season for a game that had to be relocated to Atlanta at the last minute.
Things continue taking a turn when you spin this thing around and look at the back…
White numbers on a light grey jersey? This will be fun… and that NBA 75 patch is obnoxiously large.
My sources tell me the other jersey during this game will feature the same template but instead go with a red base with white trim.
