Italian Serie A side SSC Napoli was fired up to unveil yet another new kit over the weekend.
The club and manufacturer Emporio Armani debuted a long-rumoured alternate kit with a design featuring blue and white flames during a league match against Salernitana on Sunday, March 23.
The kit features light blue and white flames on a navy blue base. The collar and sleeve cuffs are also navy blue, while the manufacturer logo and most sponsor logos are white. The logo of main sponsor Lete appears on the chest in red.
The names and numbers are printed on the back of the shirt in white. The shirt was paired with navy blue shorts and navy blue socks with white cuffs.
The new kits ignited Napoli’s game, as they cruised to a 4-1 win over Salernitana.
A kit like this was long thought to be part of Napoli’s set for the 2021-22 season, especially after the club’s goalkeepers began wearing a shirt with a similar pattern in neon green.
Remarkably, this marks the 10th outfield kit Napoli has unveiled this season for domestic and European competitions. The club produced special versions of its home and third kits with gold accents for use in the UEFA Europa League, plus kits honoring club legend Diego Maradona in three colorways, and a special Halloween kit.
