The teams that remain in contention for the 2021-22 UEFA Women’s Champions League title will hope to rise as high as the mountains depicted on the competition’s new ball.
Adidas released the new ball last week, which will be used throughout the knockout stages of the competition, including the final at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, Italy, on Saturday, May 21.
Like the ball used in the men’s Champions League, the new women’s ball is covered in stars. Inside each star is a graphic depiction of the Italian Alps, which surround Turin.
“For Adidas, the ball represents that one symbol of possibility – the vehicle that can inspire the next generation of footballing talent and grassroots communities around the world.”
