Another Major League Soccer kit for 2022 appears to have leaked prior to its official release, this time the new home jersey for Inter Miami CF.
A photo was posted to Reddit’s Inter Miami subreddit on Sunday showing a solid pink jersey with a polo collar and either dark gray or black accents, including the adidas logo and shoulder stripes and the sponsor logo on the front of the shirt.
The jock tag includes a black square with a pink line resembling an electrocardiogram readout and forming an M. This element refers to promotional material referring to fans as “the heartbeat” of the club, and it was part of the teaser back in late December 2021 announcing that the new home kit would be pink.
The same heartbeat-M pattern also appears to be embossed on the sleeve cuffs.
From the tag on the lower right corner of the jersey, this appears to be an authentic, on-field version of the Inter Miami kit. Replica versions may have not have all the same details.
Pink has been part of Inter Miami’s identity from day one, but since starting play in MLS in 2020, Inter Miami has sported a white home jersey with pale pink accents and shorts. They have also worn pale pink training jerseys.
A photo of a replica version of the jersey was posted to Twitter by user @philipflanagan in late January. This is the same Twitter user who posted photos of an LA Galaxy replica home kit on sale in a Sports Direct store in London, UK, around the same time. The Inter Miami kit he posted didn’t have the sponsor logo on the front, though.
Inter Miami have not yet announced an official launch date for the new home kit. But with the 2022 MLS season kicking off on Feb. 26, kit unveilings across the league will be coming thick and fast over the next two weeks.
