Major League Soccer side Vancouver Whitecaps FC have flipped the script for their 2022 away kit, inverting the colours of their home kit to create the new look.
The kit was unveiled on Thursday, Feb. 17, and features a white hoop across the chest of the navy blue shirt. The stripe is bordered with light blue and contains their sponsor’s logo in navy blue.
The V-neck collar and sleeve cuffs are white with light and navy blue trim, mimicking the chest stripe. The Adidas logo on the chest is white, while the Adidas shoulder stripes are light blue.
A “VANCOUVER” graphic adorns the back collar, while a red maple leaf with a tonal wave appears in the jocktag position. Names and numbers are printed on the back in light blue.
The shirt will be paired white shorts with light blue Adidas stripes down the sides and navy blue socks with light blue stripes.
The Whitecaps kick off their 2022 MLS season on Saturday, Feb. 26, when they visit the Columbus Crew. Their home opener takes place a week later – Saturday, March 5 – when they host defending MLS Cup champions New York City FC.
