The Durham Bulls are the only Triple-A affiliate the Tampa Bay Rays have ever known, and the team will celebrate a quarter century of that partnership with commemorative uniforms this year. For every Thursday home game, the Bulls will wear caps and jerseys that evoke the gradient blends of the original Tampa Bay Devil Rays identity, with the ray swapped out for Durham’s iconic bull.
The Bulls’ uniforms call back to the days of 1998 to 2000, when such Devil Ray luminaries as Fred McGriff, Kevin Stocker, and Wade Boggs (!) wore the franchise’s original duds.
The first home Thursday game for Durham is this week on April 14.
