English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur is daring to be different with their home kits for the upcoming 2022-23 season.
The club unveiled the kits on Tuesday, June 6. The shirt combines Tottenham’s classic all-white home look with neon green detailing on the collar and sleeve cuffs. The front half of the crew neck collar and the cuffs are navy blue with neon green stripes through the middle, while the back half of the collar is solid neon green.
The shirt uses Nike’s new Vaporknit template, which we’ve also seen this summer in the 2022-23 unveilings for Liverpool and Barcelona. A knit pattern covers the entire shirt.
The word “SPURS” is woven into the fabric inside the collar and sleeve cuffs.
The white shirt will be paired with navy blue shorts and white socks, completing the traditional Tottenham home look. The shorts have neon green inserts on the sides, and the socks have navy blue and neon green stripes around the middle.
Tottenham will wear the kit for the first time on July 13, when they take on Team K-League in Seoul, South Korea.
ATHLETIC BILBAO – Away
After playing it safe with their home kits unveiled last week, Spanish La Liga side Athletic Bilbao are going wild with their away kit for 2022-23, made by New Balance. The front of the jersey features a grey pattern with red drop shadows on a black base. The pattern starts with a lion’s head on the left side, under the club crest, and graffiti-like lines radiate out from there. According to the club, it celebrates “the family, philosophy and culture that the entire Athleticzale community holds so dear.” It will be paired with red shorts and socks that both have black stripes down the sides.
U.S. LECCE – Home, Away and Third
As they prepare for their first season back in Serie A since 2019-20, Itallian side U.S. Lecce are handling their kits on their own. All three of their 2022-23 kits were designed and produced by their in-house brand, M908.
The home kit is their traditional look of red and yellow vertical stripes, but in paintbrush strokes this time around. The shirt is paired with navy blue shorts — with red and yellow brush strokes on the sides — and red socks with a yellow stripe around the middle.
The away kit is mostly white, with a broad royal blue stripe and narrower red and yellow stripes running across the shoulders. The V-neck collar and sleeve cuffs are royal blue. The shorts are white with blue, yellow and red blocks down each side, and the white socks have blue cuffs along with narrower red and yellow stripes.
The third kit is mostly red, with yellow accents on the back of the collar and the sleeve cuffs. At the bottom of the front of the shirt is a tonal graphic of historical buildings from the city of Lecce. The shorts are same darker red shade as the graphic, with yellow inserts on the sides. The socks are bright red with a yellow black on the cuff that doesn’t wrap all the way around.
STADE DE REIMS – Home
Meanwhile, French Ligue 1 side Stade de Reims aren’t going too far afield for their 2022-23 home kit, made by Umbro. It’s a vintage design that stays true to what the club has traditionally worn at home, with a solid red torso and white sleeves. The crew neck collar and sleeve cuffs are white, with two red stripes through the center.
