Bayern Munich are putting all their cards on the table for their 2022-23 third kits, made by Adidas.

The kits are mostly black, with red accents including sponsor logos, the club crest, sleeve cuffs and Adidas shoulder stripes. The front of the shirt contains a tonal pattern of diagonal lines connecting icons depicting acorns, grass, hearts and bells.

The icons are the four suits on the cards used in the traditional Bavarian game of Schafkopf. It’s a game that many players at Bayern Munich have learned and enjoyed over the years.

“Schafkopf is part of Bayern — and with a jersey like this, the Bayern heart comes up trumps!” said Bayern forward and schafkopf enthusiast Thomas Müller. “We’ll have a good hand in every game.”

Inter Milan looks to bring the world together with their away kit for 2022-23, made by Nike. The kit features an aqua world map on a white base, representing an “inclusive spirit and openness to the planet that we live on.” The sleeve cuffs are white, and the front half of the collar is white while the back half is aqua and dark green. The club crest is rendered in aqua, dark green and white on the left chest.

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur’s third kit for 2022-23, made by Nike, features a “rift blue” and “mystic navy” print that “is inspired by Tottenham’s ever-evolving DNA and the popular Nike TN sneaker range.” The kit will make its debut when the Spurs women’s team faces off against Club America in the opening match of The Women’s Cup in Louisville, Kentucky, on Sunday.

Meanwhile, fellow Premier League contenders Manchester United have gone neon green for their 2022-23 third kit, made by Adidas. It features a tonal geometric pattern all over, and black accents. Like the home and away kits, the crest on the third kit is placed inside a pentagon. The black crew neck collar has a pattern of parallelograms woven into the fabric.

Premier League side Brentford FC unveiled their third kit for 2022-23 when they also unveiled new signing Mikkel Damsgaard on Wednesday, August 10. It features a bright red and yellow digital print on a clack base. The collar and sleeves are solid black. The Umbro logo, sponsor logo and club crest are rendered in one-color white.

Like their home and away kits for 2022-23, Premier League side Everton’s third kit carries on the use of Prince Rupert’s tower as a central theme. The yellow base features a pattern of blue line drawings of the tower on the lower right side. A blue silhouette of the tower replaces the club crest on the left chest. The crew neck collar is blue with yellow trim.

Spanish La Liga side Elche CF is going all out for their 2022-23 home kit, made by Nike. As the club is celebrating its 100th anniversary this season, gold trim accents the white shirt on the sides, sleeve cuffs and back of the collar. The green stripe traditionally found across the chest of Elche’s home kits is this time rendered as a paintbrush stroke.

Meanwhile, fellow La Liga side RCD Mallorca has released their third kit for 2022-23. It uses the same template Nike has provided to other teams it outfits in Europe’s top leagues. UD ALMERÍA – Away and Third

The sand color of UD Almería’s 2022-23 away kit, made by Castore, represents the desert of southern Spain, where the city of Almería is located. The pattern at the top of the shirt is inspired by La Alcazaba, a fortified complex in the city. Tonal horizontal lines then fade into view and expand in width toward the bottom of the shirt. Black trim appears around the collar are sleeve cuffs. The club crest appears in one-color black.

Meanwhile, Almería has gone for a black and electric blue combo for their third kit. The diagonal blue lines on the front of the jersey are a magnified soundwave of the club’s anthem, “Gerneración Roja y Blanca.” The crew neck collar, sleeve cuffs and logos are all electric blue.

Like their home kit, VfB Stuttgart’s third kit for 2022-23 features a tonal print of various Stuttgart landmarks all over the front and on the sleeve cuffs. The future is now for French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco and their 2022-23 third kit, made by Kappa. The kit is mostly a light shade of purple — a color the club has never before worn as an outfield kit. Ligue 1 side Lille OSC’s third kit for 2022-23, made by New Balance, takes it black-and-gold color scheme from French Flanders, the area of France where the city of Lille is located. A gold pattern of mastiffs inspired by the club crest adorns the sleeves as well as the shoulders before fading out as you move down the shirt. This marks the first time the mastiff has appeared on a Lille shirt outside of the crest. The crew neck collar is black, and the sleeve cuffs are mostly black with a white vertical stripe bordered in red.

Italian Serie A side SSC Napoli’s third kit for 2022-23, made by Emporio Armani, features a tonal pattern of diagonal lines running across the front of the black shirt. This pattern mirrors the one found on the club’s goalkeeper kits when they were released alongside the outfield home and away kits in late July.

AS ROMA – Away

Serie A side AS Roma’s new away kit for 2022-23, made by New Balance, subtly works in nods to the long history of the city of Rome. The front of the white shirt contains a tonal marble pattern that also incorporates the club’s iconic wolf logo (the lupetto). Red and yellow trim appears around the front half of the collar and on the sleeve cuffs, and the club crest is rendered in one-colour red.
