It may be okay to wear your sunglasses when watching your television tonight.
That’s because the Seattle Seahawks will wear their all green alternate uniform combination when they host the Denver Broncos tonight on Monday Night Football. Denver will counter with their blasé-by-comparison all-white uniform, white tops with white pants. Both teams will wear their usual navy blue helmets.
Known as their “Action Green” set, the Seahawks first introduced the highlighter-inspired pairing for the 2016 season, wearing it for a 24-3 victory over the Los Angeles Rams on the Week 15 Thursday Nighter that year.
WHAT IS THE SEAHAWKS RECORD WEARING GREEN?
Since they made their debut in 2016, the Seahawks have worn Action green tops with matching green pants five times, winning 4 and losing 1 in those contests. The Seahawks are an even more impressive 7-1 if you include any colour of pants with the “Action Green” jerseys.

This will be the first time the Seahawks have opened a season with the Action Green set; in an effort to green out the stadium, the team will hand out 60,000 Action Green-coloured rally towels to fans upon entry.
MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL UNIFORM MATCHUP – WEEK 1
The Denver Broncos are wearing their navy blue helmets with road white jerseys and white pants (with blue striping) tonight as they visit the Seattle Seahawks, who will counter with a navy blue helmet, their alternate “Action” green jerseys, and matching “Action” green pants.
The Denver Broncos are 8-20 when wearing white-on-white over the past four seasons; they have lost their last five games in this set — their most recent victory in all-white coming exactly one year ago today. Seattle, on the other hand, has only lost once when going green-over-green, that coming in the pairing’s more recent appearance, last season against the eventual Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams.
