“Reese’s University” Signs NIL Deals With 12 College Football Players Named Reese

With the football-shaped peanut butter and chocolate candy returning to shelves this month, Reese’s has partnered with 12 college football players named Reese in what it calls “the tastiest and most exclusive” name, image and likeness deal to date.

“If anyone knows what snack in college football is the best, it’s going to be this team of athletes,” Reese’s “athletic director” P.B. Lettermen said in a press release. “Like I always say, the name on the front of the jersey is very important, but the name on the back can be great, too.”

Reese’s lineup includes Auburn safety John Reese Bellew, Baylor running back Richard Reese, Delaware State defensive back Andrew Reese, Duke defensive end Michael Reese, Eastern Michigan tight end Max Reese, Florida linebacker David Reese, Liberty safety Quinton Reese, Ole Miss safety Otis Reese, Tennessee State defensive back James Reese, Troy defensive end Cameron Reese, Tulsa defensive lineman Brody Reese and UNLV running back Courtney Reese.

As part of the deal, they will each receive a Reese’s gold chain and pendant, a custom blaze orange “Team Reese” travel blazer, Reese’s cup-shaped cuff links and a Reese’s mini fridge filled with football-shaped Reese’s for their locker.

That said, this isn’t Reese’s first venture into the college football landscape, as it has been the sponsor of the Reese’s Senior Bowl since 2014.

“Reese’s University” and the “Fighting Cuppies” also had a float in the 133rd Rose Parade on Jan. 1. It featured the “school” mascot, Cuppy, spinning a basketball in one hand and holding a football in the other while wearing a graduation cap.
