The High-A Hickory Crawdads unveiled an alternate brand that plays off a popular nursery rhyme. They’ll play three games this summer as the Hickory Dickory Docks.
The alternate brand features the titular clock, which, depending on which version of the traditional song you sing, is visited by either a series of animals or one very persistent mouse. The first verse of nearly every version of the song describes a mouse running up a clock, then running back down after it chimes.
While the nursery rhyme itself has the mouse running up the clock, then running back down when it strikes one, the clock featured in the logo is set to 8:28, an homage to the area code in Hickory, North Carolina. Speaking of the clock, the Dickory Docks jerseys feature gears that evoke the inner workings of a clock.
The Crawdads will wear the alternate look August 17, 18, and 19, in a series against the Rome Braves.
