New, Limited Line of Retro Starter MLB Satin Jackets Released by Homage

Our friends at Homage are back with another collection of retro satin Starter-branded jackets.

This time the line focuses on Major League Baseball and the iconic designs worn in dugouts and bullpens in the 1980s and ’90s. Twelve teams were chosen to be a part of this initial very limited batch, with less than one hundred jackets available for each team.

“HOMAGE is excited to reissue the iconic Starter MLB STARTER satin jacket in an exclusive limited edition release for select teams,” a statement from the company read. “A certified nineties throwback, our exclusive vintage-inspired HOMAGE x STARTER Satin Jackets are built for the dugout, with all the classic details of the original: full-snap buttons, slip pockets, and the essential interior patch. Pay homage.”

Each jacket comes with full-snap buttons, slip pockets, and some clubs — such as the Cubs, even have a team logo on the back of the jackets. My favourite feature might be the hidden interior patch customized specifically for each club.

Having tried on one of the jackets from Homage’s earlier NFL line of Starter satin jackets, I can say they can run a little snug — especially if you happen to be someone with the so-called “dad bod,” in that case, you may want to try a size larger than you’re used to if you like a looser fit.
