After changing their colors to black and gold back in January, the USFL’s Pittsburgh Maulers unveiled a new uniform set on Thursday morning.
Much like their updated logo, the new uniforms are simply a recoloring of last year’s look, which featured a purple and orange color scheme. That includes the black helmet with a gray facemask, gold stripe down the center and partial primary logo on both sides.
The black home jersey features white numbers with a gold outline, contrasting gold yoke on the shoulders and white cuffs, while the white road jerseys includes black numbers with a gold outline, contrasting black yoke on the shoulders and gold cuffs.
Both the home and road jerseys have the USFL logo below the collar and the aforementioned partial primary logo on the sleeves, and will be worn with gray pants that feature a thick black stripe down both sides, as well as black socks.
The Maulers, who finished last season with just one win after scoring the fewest points in the league, will debut the new uniforms when the travel to Birmingham, Ala., on April 16 to take on the New Orleans Breakers. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. ET on FS1.
