Fans in Kansas City for this week’s NFL Draft have been treated to alternate logos for all 32 NFL teams, as the illustrations can be seen on fencing and signage that stretches from the stage at Union Station to the National World War I Museum and Memorial.
The logos, which appear to be the work of the NFL’s in-house creative department, put a creative spin on each team’s identity. They’re certainly too detailed to use on uniforms or merchandise (aside from graphic t-shirts), but they certainly add some flair to the event.
Many of the illustrations are accurate to the team’s primary logo, while some pull smaller details, such as the star on the New England Patriots’ hat, the diamonds on the Pittsburgh Steelers’ apron and the Texas state flag on Houston Texans’ bull.
A handful of the illustrations pay homage to throwback logos, such as the Green Bay Packers, New York Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while others are realistic representations of the team’s nickname, such as the New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers and Washington Commanders.
