After recently asking an artificial intelligence bot to create mascots for the NBA and NFL, former World Series of Poker final tablist Garry Gates had the computer program do the same for all 32 NHL teams.
While some of the costumed characters would be an upgrade over their current mascots, like the Colorado Avalanche and Toronto Maple Leafs, others are downright terrifying and should never see the light of day, like those for the Columbus Blue Jackets and Nashville Predators.
With that said, let’s take a look at the mascots, which are shown alphabetically by team. And while Gates hasn’t mentioned doing so, it’s probably safe to assume MLB mascots are up next.
