Juventus Takes ‘Zebras’ Nickname to a New Level With 2023-24 Home Kit

Italian Serie A giants Juventus are taking their nickname — “Le Zebre” (“The Zebras”) — to a whole new level with their home kit for 2023-24.

Unveiled on Friday, May 12, the new home jersey takes Juventus’s traditional black-and-white vertical stripes and adds a “the brushed stroke finish that replicates the unique patterning of a zebra,” the club says on its website. “The technique is applied to evoke the individuality and artistry of the players on pitch.”

The zebra pattern is set off by yellow detailing, which “draws inspiration from legendary jerseys of the past,” according to the club. This includes the trim around the solid black collar and sleeve cuffs, the Adidas shoulder stripes, the side panels and the taping down the sides and across the back hem. The club crest and the Adidas logo on the chest are also yellow, while the logo of sponsor Jeep has a yellow outline. The back has a solid black panel for names and numbers.

“The result is the creation of a jersey rooted in the club’s heritage, yet unmistakably modern by design.”
