Philippine Football Federation, Adidas Launch New Kits for 2023 Women’s World Cup Squad

With kickoff a little over two months away, the Philippine Football Federation and Adidas have unveiled the kits that the Filipino national women’s team will wear during the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

The new home, away and third kits were revealed during an event held on Monday, May 15.

The home kit is predominantly white, with diagonal blue lines of varying thickness forming vertical stripes down the front. The crew neck collar is white with yellow trim, while the sleeve cuffs are blue with yellow trim. The Adidas shoulder stripes are blue.

The away kit, meanwhile, is mostly blue, with red pinstripes down the front that were hard to pick out in some of the photos from the unveiling due to the lack of contrast. Red panels on the shoulders house blue Adidas stripes. The crew neck collar is white, while the sleeve cuffs are blue with red trim. The only yellow on the kit is the Adidas logo on the left chest.

Like the away kit, the third kit features pinstripes down the front — this time white pinstripes on a red base. The collars and cuffs are blue with white trim, and the Adidas shoulder stripes are blue. Also like the away kit, yellow only features in the Adidas logo on the chest.

All three kits have the logo of the Philippine Football Federation on the left chest, and all were presented on Monday with shorts and socks of the same colour as the shirts. Yellow and neon green goalkeeper kits were also introduced that use the same embossed diamond pattern as we saw on Adidas-outfitted goalkeepers at the 2022 men’s World Cup in Qatar.

The Philippines will play in Group A during the 2023 Women’s World Cup, alongside co-hosts New Zealand, Norway and Switzerland. Their first match will be against Switzerland on July 21 at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin, New Zealand.
