Players in France’s top flight domestic football leagues have gotten a glimpse of the ball with which they’ll be chasing glory next season.
On Sunday, May 28, manufacturer KIPSTA unveil the new match balls that will be used in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 during the 2023-24 season.
Both balls are the same basic design and model as the match balls used in 2022-23. Patterns of irregular shapes on the white bases follow the contours of the ball. The new Ligue 1 ball swaps in red and neon green lines for the previous colorway, while the Ligue 2 ball brings navy blue, turquoise and magenta streaks to the party.

KIPSTA is a brand owned by French sports retailerΒ Decathlon. This is their second season supplying Ligues 1 and 2 with match balls. Prior to 2022-23, Ligue 1 used balls manufactured by German companyΒ Uhlsport.
The KIPSTA balls are made up of 12 textured polyurethane panels that are heat-bonded together for βbetter sphericity and resistance.β The βHigh Rebound Advancedβ bladder offers βoptimum sphericity, pressure resistance and rebound quality.β
