With an appearance in the UEFA Champions League final right around the corner, Italian Serie A side Inter Milan has announced a new jersey sponsor in time for the big game.
Inter announced on Friday, June 2, that the logo of streaming service Paramount+ would appear on its jerseys for at least their final Serie A match of the season on Saturday, June 3, against Torino and the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday, June 10, against Manchester City in Istanbul, Türkiye.
“This agreement represents a great partnership between two leading brands that are increasingly aiming to reach a global market,” the club’s website reads.
Inter Milan will wear its blue-and-black striped home kit in the Champions League final, according to reports, but the announcement video posted to social media shows the club’s away kit being emblazoned with the Paramount+ logo.
The announcement didn’t indicate if the Paramount+ sponsorship would continue beyond the end of the 2022-23 season.
Inter Milan had been playing without a logo on their shirt since late April when they ended their sponsorship with blockchain company DigitalBits over non-payment of their contract.
Paramount+ is owned by Paramount Global, which also owns the CBS television network in the United States. Paramount+ has streamed Champions League matches throughout 2022-23, and the final will be broadcast on CBS in the U.S.
