Real Madrid Bring the Bling With 23-24 Home Kit – Plus Other Unveilings Around Europe

Spanish La Liga powerhouses Real Madrid are bringing the bling with their 2023-24 home kits, made by Adidas.

Real Madrid unveiled the new jersey on Wednesday, June 14 — an event reportedly delayed by a few days after several players featured in promotional photo shoots announced they were leaving the club. Real’s traditional white base for their home kit is accented this year with navy blue and gold.

Sponsor logos, the side panels and taping down the sides and across the back hem are navy blue. The collar and sleeve cuffs are half navy and half gold with a white stripe in between. The Adidas shoulder stripes are gold with navy blue borderlines peeking out from underneath.

The kits also feature the rallying cry “HALA MADRID!” on the back collar, celebrating “the union between the club and its fans throughout 121 years of history.” The name and number font that will be used for cup competitions is in the same font.

Real Madrid will wear the new kits for the first time during preseason matches in the United States in late July and early August.

NEWCASTLE UNITED – Home

After finishing fourth in the English Premier League in 2022-23, Newcastle United have unveiled the home kit they’ll wear in the PL and in their first UEFA Champions League campaign in 20 years next season. The Magpies’ traditional black and white vertical stripes are presented with few bells and whistles. The V-neck collar and sleeve cuffs are black with two white stripes through the center.

The 2023-24 season will be the first with Saudi Arabian sports event company Sela as the front-of-shirt sponsor. Newcastle ended its contract with their previous sponsor, betting firm Fun88, early — partly due to the PL’s forthcoming voluntary ban on betting companies as jersey sponsors and partly due to gambling being illegal in Saudi Arabia, where the club’s ownership is based.

VILLARREAL CF – Home, Away and Third

Spanish La Liga side Villarreal CF continue to live up to their “Yellow Submarine” nickname with their 2023-24 home kit, made by Joma. The yellow kit features an embossed wave pattern all over, along with a navy blue collar, sleeve cuffs and sponsor logos.

The away kit features a dark red torso set off with brighter red sleeves. The collar is also bright red with two yellow inserts at the front. Yellow stripes run around each sleeve, while bright red panels run down the sides of the jersey.

The third kit is mostly grey, with pink triangular inserts on the shoulders, sleeves, and on the sides near the hem. Sponsor logos appear in navy blue.

RC LENS – Home

French Ligue 1 side RC Lens have put a new twist on their usual red-and-yellow-striped home kit for 2023-24. The kit, made by Puma, pushes the narrow red stripes to either side of the body, leaving a solid yellow canvas for the club crest and sponsor logos on the front and names and numbers on the back. The sleeves of the jersey are red, and the sleeve cuffs and collar are black with yellow and red trim.

CELTIC FC – Away

Fresh off a treble-winning campaign in 2022-23 (Scottish Premiership, Scottish Cup, Scottish League Cup), Glasgow-based Celtic FC head into 2023-24 in style thanks to their new away kit, made by Adidas. The jersey is solid black, with green Adidas shoulder stripes and a white club crest and sponsor logos. The henley collar and sleeve cuffs feature a pattern of dark green and white diagonal lines sewn into the fabric.

GALATASARAY SK – Away

23-time Turkish Süper Lig champions Galatasaray SK are keeping things very simple with their away kit for 2023-24, made by Nike. The jersey is almost completely white, save for the red Nike swoosh on the right chest, the club crest on the left chest and the winner’s shield in between. The raglan sleeves and crew neck collar are a very light grey, almost imperceptibly darker than the body of the shirt in some photos.

FC PORTO – Away

Portuguese Primeira Liga powerhouses FC Porto have come up with something sweet for their 2023-24 away kit, made by New Balance. Porto is touting the color of the jersey as an “unprecedented marzipan pantone” with navy blue accents. The front of the shirt features a tonal zigzag pattern across the chest framing the monochromatic navy blue club crest, with tonal vertical stripes underneath. The right sleeve has a diagonal navy blue stripe, while the left sleeve features a New Balance flash. The V-neck collar is mostly navy blue, except for the front right quarter, which is marzipan.
