With USC set to begin Big Ten play next season, the Trojans have been outfitting recruits from the class of 2024 in jerseys featuring the B1G logo during their official visits.
The prospects – including West Hills (California) Chaminade four-star safety Marquis Gallegos and McKinney, Texas, three-star running back Bryan Jackson – will never play in the Pac-12 if they sign with USC, so it makes sense for the Big Ten logo to be displayed for photoshoots instead.
For now, the Trojans are simply using jerseys from past seasons and covering the Pac-12 logo with a large patch featuring the Big Ten mark, which will either be sewn directly into the uniform or on a smaller patch that outlines the B1G logo once they officially join the conference.
UCLA will also make the move to the Big Ten in 2024, but the Bruins aren’t currently using their new conference affiliation to their advantage during recruiting visits. Perhaps they’ll break out the sewing machine before next weekend’s visitors arrive on campus to keep up with their crosstown rivals.
