After six seasons in a basic Nike catalog design, the Western Kentucky football program recently unveiled a more unique uniform set for the 2023 campaign.
The uniforms, which remain on Nike’s Vapor Untouchable Pro template, feature a consistent and traditional striping pattern across the helmets, jerseys and pants, as well as drop shadow numbers.
The Hilltoppers’ chrome, black and white helmets are still in the rotation, though they each have a metallic red facemask and larger decals than before, including their primary towel logo and “Tops” script.
WKU’s new look is complete with the “Tops” script on the right hip of the pants – which, like the jerseys, come in red, black and white – and the university’s academic mark on the front helmet bumper.
The uniforms will make their on-field debut when the Hilltoppers host USF on Sept. 2. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.
