The Phoenix Suns unveiled new Association and Icon Edition uniforms on Tuesday morning, blending their classic sunburst design with modern branding.
“The sunburst is an iconic design that is one of the most popular among Suns fans (and) represents some of the most defining moments in our team’s history,” chief executive officer Josh Bartelstein said.

“These new uniforms seamlessly blend the nostalgia of the past with the excitement of the future as we begin the next great era of Suns basketball.”
The white Association and purple Icon uniforms prominently display the streaking sunburst across the chest, mimicking Phoenix’s uniforms from 1992-2000.
The Suns’ modern wordmark is included in the flare of the sunburst and is stacked above drop shadow numbers, which are also in the team’s current font.
The sunburst remains the same across both jerseys, including a white ball with purple lines, purple flares and thick orange streaks, though the numbers contrast the jerseys.
The shorts are also an ode to the past, with an asymmetrical design featuring Phoenix’s workmark above a continuation of the steaks that increases in size on the left leg.
The collars and arm holes remain the same on the Association set, while the orange and white are flipped on the Icon set, both of which will continue to have a PayPal advertisement on the left shoulder.
The uniforms, which will be worn alongside the black Statement set introduced last season and an unreleased City design, are complete with the Suns’ primary icon on the waistband.
