The Minnesota Timberwolves this weekend unveiled their 2023-24 City Edition uniforms, which are an ode to the state’s nickname of “The Land of 10,000 Lakes.”

“This season’s Timberwolves City Edition uniform is really special and quintessentially Minnesotan,” chief marketing officer Mike Grahl said. “While lake life vibes are at their peak during the summer, we’re excited for Wolves fans to embrace this year’s uniform all season long.”

The uniforms are predominantly blue, matching the Timberwolves’ Icon Edition set, but transition to white near the shoulders via a water texture pattern across the chest and back of the jersey.

The white Minnesota wordmark, meanwhile, borrows the font from the Timberwolves’ Association Edition uniform and sits above the off-center white numbers, a la their 2019-20 City Edition set.

The aforementioned water texture can be seen inside a two-color version of Minnesota’s secondary logo on the right side of the shorts, while a blue silicone stripe featuring “Land of 10,000 Lakes” runs down both sides of the uniform.

That same phrase, which also features the North Star from the Timberwolves’ logo set, can be seen above the jock tag, while a silicone state outline on the waistband completes the look.

Minnesota is scheduled to wear its new City Edition uniform during the NBA’s inaugural In-Season Tournament, which tips off on Nov. 3. That could indicate that every team in the league will follow suit.
