OHL’s Sudbury Wolves Introduce Futuristic Alternate Jersey

While their home and road jerseys will remain traditional, the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League are turning ahead the clock with a futuristic-looking alternate jersey for the 2023-24 season.

The Wolves unveiled the new jersey on their social media accounts on Wednesday, September 6. The base of the jersey is royal blue — much like their usual home jersey — but features a new wordmark on chest. “WOLVES” is spelled out in a dark blue futuristic font on a white background, with “SUDBURY” in smaller letters above.

The shoulders of the jersey are grey, with an angular dark blue wolf’s head patch on each shoulder. Two jagged white stripes run around the waist and each sleeve, with a jagged dark blue stripe in the middle.

The grey shoulder blends into the grey lace-up collar, which also has a white stripe around most of it.

The numbers on the back and sleeves are white with a dark blue outline, and use the same angular font as the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings. The names on the back are set in a white varsity block font.

The Wolves’ home and away jerseys will remain the same, with the same cartoon wolf logo on the front that the team has used in various color combinations since 1981-82.

The Wolves open their 2023-24 OHL regular season campaign on Friday, September 29, when they host the Brantford Bulldogs at the Sudbury Community Arena.
