The Chicago Bulls and Dallas Mavericks’ 2023-24 City Edition jerseys leaked on social media on Friday after a Nike store in the United Kingdom put them on the shelves a little too early.

Both jerseys – which SportsLogos.net can confirm as legitimate – are black, though the overhead lighting on the Mavericks’ jersey makes it appear gray like their 2003-04 “trash bag” alternate uniforms and 2018-19 City Edition set.

Dallas’ jersey features a white “Mavs” wordmark outlined in royal blue, as well as royal blue numbers outlined in white and thin royal blue piping around the collar, arm holes and down the sides. There are also sublimated words on the sides, though they’re difficult to decipher.

The font has a classic soul vibe, which makes sense with the signature of singer, songwriter and record producer Leon Bridges – who was raised in Fort Worth – above the jock tag and the phrase “For All of Dallas Fort Worth” below it.

The Bulls’ jersey, meanwhile, features a vertical “Chicago” wordmark in white, reminiscent of the marquee and the font used on the facade of Chicago Stadium, their home from 1967-94. Its nickname – “The Madhouse on Madison” – appears above the jock tag.

The off-center numbers, meanwhile, bring to mind the Bulls’ home and road uniforms from 1973-85 and are carried over from their 2017-20 and 21-22 City Edition sets. The look is complete with two red asymmetrical stripes on the right side.

Both uniforms are expected to be officially unveiled in mid-November alongside the rest of the NBA, though they could reveal them sooner than that now that the cat’s out of the bag, so to speak.
