Major League Soccer has released its list of the best-selling jerseys so far in 2023, and to the surprise of absolutely no one, Inter Miami superstar Lionel Messi is at the top.
MLS released the list on Friday, September 29, which takes into account sales through MLSStore.com from January 1 to September 12, 2023. Messi was at the top despite only joining the league in late July. He overtakes LAFC forward Carlos Vela, who led the previous best-selling list released in May but drops to fifth place.
Others in the top five included St. Louis CITY SC forward João Klauss, Nashville SC midfielder and reigning MLS MVP Hany Mukhtar, and Austin FC midfielder Sebastián Driussi.
Inter Miami, Seattle Sounders FC and St. Louis CITY SC each had three players in the top 25. The full list includes players from 15 MLS clubs and 13 different countries.
