All 30 NBA teams held their annual Media Day on Monday, which led to several players sharing photos of themselves in their new uniforms on social media. That includes guard Dennis Schröder, who leaked the Toronto Raptors’ 2023-24 City Edition uniforms in the process.
The gold uniforms feature an arched “Toronto” wordmark across the chest, mimicking the Raptors’ 2015-20 design, while the jagged pinstripes are a callback to their 1995-99 uniforms and have since appeared on their 2020-23 Statement and 2021-22 City sets.
Toronto first wore gold-accented alternate uniforms during the 2015-16 season as part of a collaboration with Canadian rapper and singer Drake and his “OVO” brand. Gold has subsequently been featured on every Raptors’ City Edition uniform since they were first unveiled in 2017-18.
All but one of the previous iterations had a black base, while the 2018-19 set was mostly white. The new gold uniforms, meanwhile, are complete with black side panels that included jagged edges and Toronto’s secondary ball logo inside the panel at the bottom of the shorts.
