Teams in the Premier Lacrosse League are coming home.
The league announced on Tuesday, November 14, the eight locations that its teams will call home with the 2024 season. The league hopes this will increase engagement with fans and selected markets.
“Moving our eight teams into home cities will mark the biggest investment in the league since its inception,” PLL president and co-founder Paul Rabil told USA Lacrosse magazine in May. “This move will unlock deeper, more connected relationships between our fans, teams and players. Continuing to build a global presence around lacrosse and driving our mission forward will remain core to our approach. We’re giving the PLL local love and global awareness.”
The home locations were selected through a mix of fan voting, customer data, ticketing performance and arena availability.
Most of the club nicknames remain the same as before, just with location names added and logos reworked to add details or colors specific to their new markets. The notable exception is the Denver Outlaws, which replaces Chrome Lacrosse Club. The Outlaws previously played in Major League Lacrosse from 2006 to 2020.

Clubs also unveiled new secondary logos, tertiary logos and wordmarks on the PLL’s social media channels.
While PLL teams now have home locations, the league is continuing with its touring model. Teams will gather in one city on each of 10 regular season weekends: once in each home location and in two neutral sites. Teams will play doubleheaders when the play in their own home location.
The 2024 schedule has not yet been released, but the PLL has announced they are introducing conferences this year. Teams will play other teams in their own conference twice during the season, while playing teams in the other conference once.
Most of the cities selected hosted action during the 2023 PLL season. The Archers defeated the Waterdogs in the 2023 PLL championship final on September 24 in Philadelphia.
