Major League Soccer is throwing it back to the 1990s with its new match ball for the 2024 season.
As 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of the 1994 FIFA World Cup held in the United States — an event directly responsible for the founding of MLS — the new Adidas MLS Pro match ball harkens back to the ’90s with vibrant colors, geometric patterns and gradients across the entirety of the white base.
Celebrate the 30th anniversary of the USA’s most prestigious soccer event. The official match ball of Major League Soccer, this adidas Pro ball displays a bold design inspired by the colors of the beautiful game.

The MLS shield appears in a couple of different spots in one-color black.
The 2024 edition of the MLS Pro appears to have the same panel pattern as the 2023 model, but with different texturing on the surface of the ball. It features thermally bonded seamless construction and a high-grade butyl bladder.
In past seasons, when MLS has unveiled a new match ball in the leadup to the MLS Cup, the new ball has been used in the MLS Cup match. The league’s announcement didn’t specify if this would be the case this year, but we’ll find out when Los Angeles Football Club and Columbus Crew SC square off in the MLS Cup final on Saturday, December 9, at 4 p.m. ET on FOX and Apple TV.
