Italian Serie A side Inter Milan is ready to roll out a new sponsor logo on the front of their jerseys this weekend.
Inter announced on Wednesday, December 6, that the Autobots’ logo from the Transformers movie franchise will replace that of streaming service Paramount+ on the front of their shirts for the men’s first team match against Udinese at the San Siro on Saturday, December 9, as well as the women’s first team match against Sampdoria that same day at the Arena Civica.
The move marks the debut of “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts” on the streaming platform, where it joins the other six films in the franchise and the animated series “Transformers: Earthspark.”
Along with the shirts, two characters from the movie will be on the sidelines for both the men’s and women’s games. Inter’s announcement didn’t specify which two, but promotional photos for the shirts featured Bumblebee and Optimus Prime.
Fans will be able to buy shirts with the Transformers logo through Inter’s team shops. They were also available through Inter’s online shop, but were already sold out at the time of publication.
Some of the game-worn shirts will be donated to sick children in pediatric wards across Milan. Others will be auctioned off, with proceeds going to charity.
