The Denver Broncos will wear their “Snowcapped” white alternate helmets for the second time this season when they host the New England Patriots on Christmas Eve (8:15 p.m. ET on NFL Network).
The white helmets, which feature a white facemask, traditional stripes down the center and a throwback logo in modern colors on the sides, made their debut in Denver’s 31-21 loss to the New York Jets on Oct. 8.
They were paired with the Broncos’ all-orange Color Rush uniforms, which were originally worn with their standard navy blue helmets but swapped the modern decals with the classic stripes and logo.
This marks the first time since they were introduced in 2016 that Denver will wear its Color Rush uniforms twice in the same season. The Broncos are 3-5 in the orange jerseys and pants, regardless of helmet color.
Additionally, Denver will once again paint a “Snowcapped” field design at Empower Field at Mile High, including white end zones with orange “Broncos” wordmarks and the vintage logo in modern colors at midfield.
This will be just the second time in franchise history that logo is displayed at the 50-yard line, though it did appear in the end zones for Color Rush games during the 2020 and 2022 seasons.
