2024 NHL All-Star Game Jerseys Unveiled — Designed by Bieber’s Drew House Line

The jerseys for the 2024 NHL All-Star Game in Toronto have been officially unveiled by the National Hockey League; the unveiling came about an hour after the jerseys were posted early to the Adidas online shop.

Here’s a quick look at the four jerseys:

Yes, those are certainly something.

The four sweaters all feature the same design, but each has a unique base colour. The chest features a massive 22″ tall crest centred by a black and gold NHL shield placed upon a gold and black star; four smaller stars are placed throughout the NHL logo. Down the sleeves, we have Adidas striping running from the upper arm down to the cuff; this continues briefly up near the shoulders — the break in the three stripes allows for player numbers. Two more yellow stars on each sleeve are placed upon the Adidas-style striping. No stripes around the waist.

At the collar, we see the NHL shield, with no collar striping or decoration. A closer look at the inside collar reveals the Drew House logo from Justin Bieber’s fashion line.

So there you go. Everything about this suddenly makes sense now.

Drew House was heavily involved in the design of the Toronto Maple Leafs’ very untraditional black alternate uniforms, which were popular upon their unveiling. Those uniforms included a separate design on the inside of the jersey featuring a black and yellow Maple Leafs/Drew House logo, which allowed the fan wearing it to decide between one of two different designs to show off that particular day.

“After the tremendous success of our first NHL, Adidas and Drew House collaboration for the Toronto Maple Leafs’ Next Gen jerseys, we looked forward to another opportunity to bring a bold, fashion-forward look to NHL jerseys,” NHL chief brand officer and senior executive vice president Brian Jennings said in the post on NHL.com. “The All-Star Weekend in Toronto is the perfect setting for a fresh perspective on the All-Star jersey. The vibrant colours in this year’s All-Star collection are both youthful and classic and offer the perfect complement to the young NHL talent set to meet in Toronto for this year’s NHL All-Star Weekend.”

The back of the jersey shows player numbers in yellow (on the red and blue sets) and black (on the yellow and whites). Player names are placed below the numbers in lowercase lettering on a black rounded rectangle — lowercase lettering is used throughout Drew House’s branding.

Though the NHL has done away with divisions for this year’s game, the Adidas Shop listing originally had divisions assigned to each jersey — presumably, this was the plan before the league switched to the player draft format. The red jersey is tagged Pacific Division, yellow for the Central, blue for Atlantic, and white for Metropolitan. Of course, it’s entirely possible that we end up with one captain from each division, and that’s how the colours are assigned. Just some speculation on my part. The NHL’s shop listings only make reference to the colour and not the division.

“Since our inaugural year of collaboration with the NHL, Adidas has not only elevated but redefined the benchmarks for performance, sustainability, storytelling and design inherent in the iconic NHL All-Star jersey,” Adidas’ director of sports marketing and hockey Nic Corbett said at NHL.com. “This season, our partnership with the NHL and drew house presents a distinctive opportunity to transcend conventional uniform design, seamlessly merging the realms of sport and youth culture. The added layer of enthusiasm stems from the fact that this extraordinary event unfolds in a hockey-obsessed market, amplifying the excitement to unprecedented heights.”
