Could Seattle Seahawks Get New Uniforms In 2024?

In a since-deleted thread on Reddit, a poster who said he works as a paralegal for a branch of Nike claimed the Seattle Seahawks will unveil new uniforms ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft.

While we cannot verify the claims at this time, the Redditor said the uniforms will include a new shade of blue, referred to as “King Blue,” an obvious nod to their former home stadium, the Kingdome.

The description blends their current design – including Wolf Gray numbers with a feather pattern and an Action Green stroke – with the brighter shade of blue, as well as several elements of their throwback uniforms.

That includes the number font, which mirrors their original design, and the wraparound totem-style logo on the sleeves, which will supposedly be rendered in the Seahawks’ current logo.

Seattle will allegedly promote its Wolf Gray alternate pants to primary home status, but change the feather pattern on the sides from navy blue to “King Blue” to match the jerseys.

The white road jerseys, the poster said, will be paired with “King Blue” pants that feature an Action Green feather pattern down the side, mimicking the Seahawks’ current navy blue pants.

Both the home and road uniforms will supposedly be complete with a silver helmet with a “King Blue” facemask and Seattle’s current logo on the sides. There is no second helmet.

That’s because, according to the Redditor, the Seahawks are keeping their throwback uniforms and adding a white road version to the rotation. They would simply swap decals and facemasks on the silver lid.

If these claims come to fruition, it would he the first uniform redesign for the Seahawks since they received a makeover prior to the 2012 season, Nike’s first as the NFL’s official outfitter.

It would also end a string of 22 seasons in which Seattle’s primary helmet color was a shade of blue, as the franchise switched from silver to Seahawks Blue in 2002, their first year back in the NFC.

We know for a fact the Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions and Houston Texans will unveil new uniforms prior to next season, but will they be joined by the Seahawks? We’ve reached out to the team and hope to report back soon.
